I’m Freddie, a product designer and researcher working at the intersection of technology, anthropology, and critical design futures. I work with mission-driven organisations to design experiences, systems, and strategy.
I’m currently co-creating DesignDesign, a community exploring critical and alternative design practices, and building daybyday.studio, a practice focused on designing futures, systems, and change.

I’ve spent the past six years designing and leading complex products across EdTech, sustainability, and language technology. Most recently, I designed DeepL’s Clarify feature, shaping how people collaborate with AI in everyday writing.
I also contribute to DesignDesign’s repository of critical design methods and co-host a Berlin-based meet-up advocating for more reflective and responsible design practices. My teaching experience includes Ethnography and Design with Namla, working with partners such as the University of Amsterdam.
I received a Master's degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology (cum laude) from KU Leuven, postgraduate certificates in Speculative Design Futures from IADT Ireland, and training in Strategic Foresight and Design Leadership from Copenhagen Institute for Futures Studies and Parsons School of Design.
